Green light; Go! Red Light; Stop! Remember that game? This show is an exploration of the power of movement in artwork. Movement in art is so crucial to whether an art piece feels complete to it’s audience. Even still life pieces have a balance of composition. Hidden diagonals in focal points of a piece gives a hidden pathway for the audience to have a full experience of your piece.
It’s a real talent to have an audience want to look at a bunch of fruit in a bowl for more than 10 seconds. Part of how this is accomplished is through movement in the composition. This is one way to keep the audience interested in an art piece and this is one direction our artists have taken in entering their pieces for this show.
